My trip to Salzburg was amazing. It was also my first trip outside of the country Italy. Flying was a blast and taught me how to better navigate airports, and how to reserve a seat ahead of time. I went to Salzburg for 2 purposes: to see a guitar teacher perform with Doro and to see some Mozart Amadeus sites! The Mozart site was very pretty it was a single floor with 8 rooms it was a family house that was owned at the time that Mozart was 10 years old. It housed furniture and artifacts. Most artifacts were books, letters, instruments, and written compositions from both Mozart and his father Leopold.
The second event was Sunday the Wildstyle Tattoo convention and Doro performance. My guitar teacher is a member of Doro's band. He also is a member of bands such as Trans-Siberian Orchestra, I Am Morbid, and his band Northtale. I first saw him in concert with Trans-Siberian Orchestra in 2015. I hadn't seen him since but he became my private guitar teacher during the pandemic. I found out he was performing in Salzburg when the announcement of Doro's tour was posted in early September I waited until early October to purchase the ticket, the hotel room, and the round trip flight tickets. I flew from Rome to Frankfurt Germany, and then Frankfurt to Salzburg. The first day I was there I went on a tour to several beautiful locations having to do with the history of Salzburg royalty and then the Mozart Whonhaus. Then that Sunday I went to the tattoo convention. The other acts didn't really catch my eye it just wasn't entertaining to me I suppose. Then Doro and crew took the stage at 6. They put on an incredible rock show! Seeing my guitar teacher perform was a highlight for me. I got to meet up with him after the concert and we hung out and talked and I just had the best time.
